Oscar ("Oz") Lang is a born-and-raised San Francisco Bay Area native, brought up while surrounded by passion for art. Oz's father, Al, managed an art supply store in San Francisco for several decades, and Oz spent many of his formative years chasing through the halls of the Michael's Artist Supplies, surrounded by artists both burgeoning and advanced.

Through this exposure, Oz developed his love for graphic art, primarily working in pen & pencil, until he was introduced to acrylics where he stretched his own canvas. Oz's love for art continued through adolescence, taking numerous courses in light studies and form.

In parallel, Oz's interest in technology budded - fascinated with digital art, he taught himself PhotoShop in the late '90s, and became focused on 3D modeling using tools such as TruSpace, 3DStudio Max, LightWave, and Rhino3D.

Slowly, he discovered his passion for software and technology, and over time Oz transitioned from an arts-based discipline towards computer sciences, where he studied software development. Eventually, Oz moved to Product Management for Software-as-a-Service organizations such as Ticketmaster, Clickability, Adobe, Responsys, and now Sojern. He found a creative outlet in these tools, but the artist in him still looked for something more visual.

Eventually, Oz rediscovered a love for photography: one that had been nascent for nearly 2 decades since participating in journalism courses, which blended his love for visual art and his interest in technology. Applying his eye for composition with a passion for people, photography has become a lifelong passion that he looks to share with others by providing photography services for select clientele.

Oz has photographed private events for companies/organizations such as George Dickel Tennessee Wisky, Hewlett-Packard and the Web Analytics Association, public events such as Santa Rosa's "Great Handcar Regatta" VIP portrait booth, location and product photographs for Vespisti SF and Gingerbread Builders Co, along with numerous wedding and portrait clients.

Oz's art photographs have been showcased in galleries such as 111 Minna (San Francisco) and PhotoboothSF (San Francisco).
